Independent guidance

Verizon and ZIP code searches

Verizon's website asks for a ZIP code to show local plans, pricing and whether services such as Fios internet or 5G Home are available in your area. ZIPCodeLookup.io is independent and not affiliated with Verizon; this page explains how the ZIP fits into those checks.

Availability is decided by address, not ZIP

The ZIP code narrows the search, but home internet availability depends on whether the network reaches your specific street address. After entering the ZIP, Verizon's availability checker asks for the full address. A ZIP that shows service “in your area” does not guarantee it at your door.

Confirm your ZIP first

If you are unsure of the ZIP for a new home, look it up by street address with USPS, or find nearby ZIP codes from your location with What is my ZIP code?. Then run the availability check on verizon.com.

Wireless coverage maps

Wireless coverage is shown on a map rather than by ZIP; search the map by address or city for the most accurate view, and remember that indoor coverage can differ from the map.
