FedEx tools ask for origin and destination ZIP codes to calculate rates and delivery dates, and for a ZIP to find nearby drop-off locations. ZIPCodeLookup.io is independent and not affiliated with FedEx; this page explains where the ZIP matters in a shipment.
Rates and transit times
Shipping zones are calculated from the origin and destination ZIP codes, so a wrong digit can change the price and the delivery date. Confirm both ZIPs, then use the rating tools on fedex.com. The distance between ZIP codes tool gives a quick straight-line mileage as a sanity check.
Deliverable addresses
Couriers deliver to street addresses. A PO Box cannot receive courier parcels because only USPS has access to the box section; ask the recipient for a street address or a post office “street addressing” option. See PO Box addresses and ZIP codes.
Finding a location by ZIP
Location search on the carrier's site accepts a ZIP code or city. If you only know the neighbourhood, use the ZIP code lookup to find the ZIP first, or find your current ZIP from your device location.
